An intentional approach to 2024
As we hurtle towards the end of the year, I invite you to take a moment to reflect.
Before the onslaught of Christmas really hits, now is the perfect time to contemplate what 2024 might hold for you. The work you do, the people you work with, the revenue you earn, the possibilities that opens up… it’s all up to you. Of course, all of this relies very heavily upon the perception you create. Something I held in mind throughout our rebrand was the direction we wanted to move towards, which allowed us to design our brand in such a way that would lead us there.
But before we get into that, let’s take a moment to think back over this year. To guide your thinking, I’ve shared some of my favourite prompts below.
What went well for you – what were your highlights?
What about the not-so-good, sticky moments? What happened there, and what can you do differently to ensure history doesn’t repeat itself?
Who were your best clients? How did they come to find you?
Which projects/engagements brought out the best in your talents and expertise?
How do you feel your fees reflect the job you do?
What’s your intention for your business in 2024?
And… and this is the crunch question… what can you put in place now to make that happen?
How do those questions make you feel? Proud? A bit daunted? Unsure? Excited? It’s enormously liberating to realise that we get to design our businesses. Your year can be whatever you want it to be. What an exciting thought that is! Maybe you need to narrow your focus slightly, redefine your offering to let some services go, or work to attract a different kind of client. Maybe this requires you to pitch your business differently… or perhaps you need to hone your customer journey in order to better communicate the magic of what you do?
Making space for some robust, strategic thinking will never fail to reward you, and doing so now allows you to take the time over Christmas to actually recharge, entering 2024 with the serenity that comes from knowing that the foundations are set, and you’re ready to go. That’s exactly what I’ll be doing. And if you plan to do the same, I’d love to know how you get on.
