Proud to Present: a bright and uplifting brand for Martha Brook
When Martha Keith reached out to us, the objective was clear: to create a world-ready stationery brand. Martha launched her business four years ago, creating beautiful paper-based goods designed to inspire and delight her customers. Appetite for her designs was so strong that production was quickly moved from her spare bedroom to a studio in West London which is currently home to a flourishing and ever-growing team of twelve. As the business has evolved, the name that the business began with, Love Give Ink, no longer reflected the brand. Martha hired us to create a fresh identity that would celebrate the story of the business and create a platform for serious growth!
It's always a huge move to rename a business, and none more so than when you have a community of well over 8,500 instagram followers who are with you every day. Handling the communication was always going to be key, and Martha planned it meticulously to bring her audience on the journey. Throughout the branding process, I was constantly wowed by the level of thought Martha and her team gave to their followers, who are the reason that the business has grown to what it is today.
The season personality
The Martha Brook brand is creative, on trend and incredibly relateable. It's an inspiring, optimistic and joyful brand: ahead of the curve, thoughtful and chic. The seasons which best represent Martha Brook are Spring and Summer, with Spring as the dominant season.
Bright, bubbly, positive and uplifting, Spring represents Martha Brook the best. Spring personalities are fun, fast paced and creative, inspiring those around them with their boundless energy and sunny disposition. The new brand for Martha Brook perfectly balances the influences of Spring and Summer, with a sense of elegance, lightness and youthfulness all rolled in to one. We've combined the energy and expressiveness of hand created patterns and a gorgeous script with the sophistication of beautiful serifs, deliberately used in lower case for a younger feel.
We've created a series of lovely little icons and elements in a beautiful monoline style for a lightness to them that prevents the mood from feeling too heavy or clunky.
