Summer at North Frith Farm
I can't believe that it's been just over six months since we moved to our dream studio!
Working here at North Frith Farm is a joy. As I type, the doors are flung open and the sunshine is streaming in, creating a stillness that's so conducive to creative thinking. And while the peaceful atmosphere is lightyears away from the bustle and pollution of our former town centre studio, you'd be mistaken if you thought that the farm wasn't busy.
There's a lovely collection of businesses here - eight of us in total - which means there's always something going on. Aside from us businesses, the estate is also a working arable farm. I find there's something very reassuring about watching the seasons unfold from the farming perspective; right now, it's the calm before the storm as the farmers bide their time before harvest.
We've been making the very most of our surroundings, and most days we'll walk down to the lake for a breath of fresh air. Some days we'll spot the resident deer roaming the farm's woodland, sometimes we'll stumble upon something new (like the rusty bike that was chained to a tree years ago!) or simply breathe in the surroundings.
Being immersed in nature every single day is doing wonders for our creativity, and provides a welcome retreat for clients when they visit. It's like stepping off of the real world and into somewhere entirely different!
