On recognising the emotional side of investing in a rebrand
This week we welcomed one of our lovely clients to the studio for what’s always a really exciting meeting - the Brand Reveal. After months of working together, the culmination of our efforts is ready to present and the moment they see their new brand arrives. Elizabeth was so thrilled with our work that here first reaction was to burst into tears! In an emotional instagram post, she spoke about how a challenging year had left her feeling unsure of the direction of her career moving forwards - and how her new brand marks the beginning of a fresh start for her business.
It reminded me that so often, clients at our doorstep at a time of meaningful change. Frequently we find that the decision to invest in a brand coincides with the brave leap into launching business, or at a time when tangible shifts are required. They come to us looking to build momentum, progress their thinking and write the next chapter of their professional lives as they would like it to read. Our people have read, researched, soul-searched and deliberated, before finally deciding that yes, my business is worth it. And that’s why it means so much. Walking alongside someone as they take this journey is an immense privilege, and not one we take lightly.
What it comes down to is this: people are looking not just for a compelling and commercially successful visual identity, but also for the permission to stand taller, be bolder, reach further. Why am I sharing this? Because I think it’s deeply important when selecting a partner for your branding adventure, you find someone who can truly empathise with you and join you in both your excitement and trepidation.
