Proud to Present: a retro inspired brand for The Swans
Ahhhhhh, The Swans. Lovely Kelly and Nathan are simply wonderful people with humungous hearts and the kind of reassuring presence that you know everything's going to be ok. Kelly has been photographing weddings for years under the banner of Shooting Suzie Photography, with Nathan joining her more recently to create a very awesome husband and wife photography double act. The Shooting Suzie name was no longer working for them; they wanted to rebrand to celebrate their combined talents and to create a feel that really reflected the gentle nostalgia and warmth of their photography. Here's their story...
On the importance of sharing your brand beliefs
When you share what you believe, you bring your mission to life. You create something relateable, engaging and meaningful. When brands share what they believe, and when we believe the same thing, we feel an affinity to them that money can't buy. We feel a connection that outweighs the impact of any clever marketing campaign, because it hits our hearts rather than our heads. This feeling of emotional connection is controlled by the limbic system, the part of our brain that is responsible for controlling emotions, memories and arousal.
On putting your customers first
"A brand is not what you want it to be, but what people know it to be. It's what people expect, experience and remember about your business"
Your customers' perception of your business is shaped by every last interaction they have with you. It's how they feel when they visit your website, the experience they have when they visit you in person and by the way you look after them along the way.
Your brands’ power increases in direct proportion to how quickly and confidently your customer decides to buy. The more confident they are in your ability to provide what they need, the more likely they are to buy from you.
Proud to Present: a high flying brand for Lothbury Wealth Management
Eager to prove that financial brands don't need to all look the same - and most certainly don't need to be boring - Lothbury hired Ditto to re-imagine their brand identity. Here's their story...
Proud to Present: a bright and uplifting brand for Martha Brook
When Martha Keith reached out to us, the objective was clear: to create a world-ready stationery brand. Martha launched her business four years ago, creating beautiful paper-based goods designed to inspire and delight her customers. Appetite for her designs was so strong that production was quickly moved from her spare bedroom to a studio in West London which is currently home to a flourishing and ever-growing team of twelve. As the business has evolved, the name that the business began with, Love Give Ink, no longer reflected the brand. Martha hired us to create a fresh identity that would celebrate the story of the business and create a platform for serious growth!

On constant evolution
Do you ever find yourself marvelling at the fact that as a small business owner, nothing is ever quite done? It's mad, isn't it, how the wheels are constantly turning, expectations shifting, standards raising. And like most things in life, whether you choose to shun or embrace this fact is down to little more than mindset.
