Designing and crafting jewellery from their home on the Isle of Man, Element Isle is a family run business which creates stunning, nature-inspired jewellery. Claire and Scott Pearse reached out to us just before lockdown, and throughout the lockdown period in the UK we have been in regular contact as we’ve crafted their beautiful new brand. Our lovely lockdown buddies.
Claire and Scott were looking for a fresh take on their thriving jewellery business. As they prepared to move toward a higher end market, they felt that their current DIY brand was no longer appropriate, and wanted something more refined, elegant and grown up. This is the story of Element Isle…
Heavily inspired by their surroundings, Element Isle pieces tell the story of the Isle of Man, celebrating the unique beauty and tapestry of this incredible corner of the world. Born from the island of fairies, rich folklore and cats with no tails, jewellery by Element Isle is a love letter from the Isle.
Organic texture and subtle, tactile detail remind us of the rhythms of nature – the intricate beauty that surrounds us, nourishes us and nurtures our bodies and souls – the beauty that we are often too busy to stop and pay attention to.
So much more than a beautifully crafted piece of jewellery which shimmers like sunlight reflected in water, Element Isle pieces create a gentle sense of peace that comes from being in tune with the simplest elements of nature.
A heartfelt love for the rugged beauty of the Isle of Man is infused throughout everything Claire and Scott do, and their commitment to honouring it’s beauty unwavering. The flowers and leaves you’ll see in their designs are foraged from the island’s hedgerows, whilst the water used in their iconic droplet collection is gathered from mountain springs. To wear a piece of Element Isle jewellery is to carry with you a small token of this magical island – a place steeped in rich history and ancient folklore.
The brand we created is earthy, evocative and somehow ethereal with an otherworldly-ness that keeps it feeling aspirational and very special. We wanted to not only echo the inspiration that Claire takes from nature, but also their desire to take their business in a more premium direction.
With elegant typography, rich, muted colours and dreamy photography, this brand feels totally gorgeous and most definitely aspirational. We’ve continued to work with Clare and Scott behind the scenes as they prepare to launch their new brand formally; in the meantime, you can follow their story on instagram.
